Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome to my first "official" blog post. Thanks for reading. To be honest, deciding to write a blog and actually sitting down to write this did not come easy. I do not consider myself a writer. I consider myself a yoga teacher, an educator, a motivator. And so, I will be attempting to use this medium to educate, to share my ideas, experiences and knowledge that I've been amassing over my 20 plus years in the health, fitness, wellness and yoga world.

I love to teach people and see them get stronger, push their limits, challenge their bodies and mind and to feel successful and accomplished. To quote Nelson Mandela, "I never lose. I either win or learn." There is no failure when it comes to yoga or fitness. If a pose or a distance you wanted to run or a weight you wanted to lift didn't happen today, you got closer to your goal, stronger, and learned something. I want my students not to be focused on the end goal, though handstands and crazy poses are fun, its the journey towards these poses where joy and strength live, where the most growth occurs. Think about it, if you mastered a pose the first time you attempted it, it wouldn't be as rewarding and you might not continue to do it. If you got up and ran a marathon easily without training, without struggling along the way, then crossing the finish line wouldn't be as sweet and memorable. Its within the trying, the work, that we find our inner will, power, and strength, and use that to create a better us, a better life.

I want to use this blog, this platform to share my love of all things yoga and fitness related. I hope to hear from you all soon. If there is something you are interested in learning about or exploring more be it yoga poses or something else, let me know.

Yours in Strength,

Adena
